What We Do
Our Services
We provide engineering services for private onsite water and wastewater systems — from initial site assessment through to final permit approval.
Service 01
Well Design & Hydrogeological Assessments
Understanding your groundwater before you drill.
Before a well is drilled, you need to know what's underground. We assess the hydrogeological conditions on your property and design a well system that meets Ontario regulations and your water supply needs.
Hydrogeological Assessments
We evaluate groundwater availability, quality, and vulnerability on your site. This includes reviewing geological data, conducting field investigations, and producing a report that satisfies municipal and provincial requirements.
Well Design
Our engineers design private water supply wells in accordance with Ontario Regulation 903 (Wells). We specify casing depth, screen intervals, pump capacity, and all technical parameters required for a compliant installation.
Water Supply Studies
For new subdivisions or developments, we prepare water supply studies that demonstrate adequate groundwater availability for the proposed use — a common requirement for planning approvals.
Common applications
- New rural home construction
- Cottage and recreational property development
- Agricultural and farm operations
- Subdivision and land development applications
Service 02
Septic System Design & Approvals
The right system for your site, designed to get approved.
Septic system design is site-specific. Soil conditions, lot size, setbacks, and water table depth all affect what system will work. We assess your property and design a system that meets the Ontario Building Code and gets approved.
Site Evaluations & Soil Testing
We conduct percolation tests and soil profile assessments to determine the hydraulic capacity of your site. This data forms the foundation of a compliant septic design.
Sewage System Design
We design conventional and alternative sewage systems under Part 8 of the Ontario Building Code. This includes leaching beds, raised beds, holding tanks, and engineered systems for challenging sites.
Replacement System Design
Aging or failing septic systems need to be replaced properly. We assess your existing system, evaluate your site's current capacity, and design a replacement that meets today's standards.
Common applications
- New residential construction on rural lots
- Cottage and seasonal property upgrades
- Failed or aging system replacement
- Severances and lot creation requiring septic approval
Service 03
Permit Applications & Regulatory Compliance
We handle the paperwork so you can focus on your project.
Getting permits for water and wastewater systems involves multiple agencies, technical requirements, and review timelines. We prepare complete application packages and work directly with the approving authority through to approval.
Permit Application Preparation
We prepare all required documentation — engineering drawings, reports, forms, and supporting studies — and submit complete application packages to the relevant authority (municipality, conservation authority, or Ministry).
Agency Coordination
We communicate directly with reviewing agencies on your behalf, respond to technical comments, and track your application through the approval process. You stay informed without having to manage the back-and-forth.
Regulatory Compliance Review
We review proposed projects for compliance with applicable regulations before submission — reducing the risk of delays, revisions, or rejections. This includes Ontario Building Code, O. Reg. 903, and applicable municipal requirements.
Common applications
- Building permit applications requiring septic approval
- Well permits under O. Reg. 903
- Conservation authority permit applications
- Planning applications requiring engineering reports
